Hike Description:

This will be the rainy season, so I will research some good parks in the East Bay where it tends to rain less, and where there is interesting wildlife to spot. I am talking coyotes, mountain lions, and bobcats.

You can see coyotes in Briones (East Bay Regional Parks) right now--there are a lot of them this year, reports of sightings nearly every time I go, and I go several times a week! Mountain lion sightings when hiking with a group of people would be fairly unlikely, though. I've seen a few, but rarely--three or four times in the last ten years of regular (several times weekly) hiking in the East Bay hills.
